Laura has worked in fundraising and development for more than a decade.  Following graduation from Sewanee, she served an AmeriCorps year of service in the Atlanta Public School System.  In an effort to further her commitment to healthy non-profit development she entered her career as a fundraising professional in Atlanta working for a non-profit consulting firm and then Skyland Trail, a mental health facility for adults.  A move to Winston-Salem in 2005 found her work as the Stewardship and Planned Giving Director for St. Paul's Episcopal Church.  She successfully planned, managed and executed pledge campaigns exceeding $1.75 million for 5 consecutive years.  In addition to her fundraising acumen, she is skilled at volunteer management and relationship cultivation.

As Manager of Client and Search Services, Laura supports the Capital Development team in providing nonprofit clients with the resources they need to be successful in their fundraising and search service endeavors. 
 
Laura is an active member of the Junior League of Winston-Salem, is a member of the board of The Centers for Exceptional Children and is a proud member of the PTA of The Special Children's School.  She is a Georgia native, but is happy to call Winston-Salem home with her husband, Jamie, and two young sons, Leighton and Parker.
