Capital Area Food Bank
Capital Area Food Bank, serving the Washington, DC Metropolitan area, began planning its campaign for a new facility under the guidance of Capital Development Services several years ago to help build a sustainable response to hunger for years to come. Initiated as a $12 million campaign effort, with strong leadership and many successes, the goal quickly grew to what ultimately became their $36 million "'Til No One is Hungry Campaign." CapDev staffers attended the groundbreaking ceremony in October, 2008 at the site of their future home in Washington, DC where a new food distribution warehouse will be built.
"We deeply value all that Kevin has contributed to the food bank's success over the years. We are so grateful to have him as our steady advisor, helping us execute the good strategic work he has guided us in, and keeping us on track. Kevin has 'taught us to fish' in improving our operations and capital fundraising practices, and he continues to push our thinking as we establish a broader giving program. He's been a godsend!" Jennifer Vanmeter, Campaign and Major Gifts Director
