Inspired by her 2016 Leadership Winston-Salem experience, Jodi chose to leave a 20-plus year career in publishing, with 17 years at the Winston-Salem Journal, and dive into the nonprofit world at Big Brothers Big Sisters Services as director of agency relations, where she worked prior to joining CapDev. Since joining the team, Jodi has embraced the science of fundraising and assists CapDev's nonprofit clients by helping them analyze their data using the Fundraising Fitness Test developed by the Fundraising Effectiveness Project and PSI/Adventist as well as being part of the CapDev team that provides Guided Database Analytics Services.
Growing up in western Pennsylvania, Jodi graduated from Slippery Rock University as a first-generation college student. Once in North Carolina, she earned her MBA from Gardner-Webb University. She has volunteered with the Atkins CDC / The Enterprise Center, Meals on Wheels, Dress for Success, Revo Church and Leadership Winston-Salem.
