Habitat Thrilled with New CDO Hire

Posted on

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro (HHGG) had never used a search firm to hire a development position before, but conducting the search on their own was just not yielding the candidate pool they’d hope. They knew that finding the right person was critical to their fundraising success, and they needed to tap a strong leader. HHGG turned to CapDev to conduct their search and were very pleased with the outcome.

Habitat Greensboro hired James Grant of Beaumont, TX, who brings 19+ years of fundraising experience as well as 14+ years in managerial roles. As a Development Director with several nonprofit organizations, he has demonstrated his ability to network, identify funding sources, and successfully campaign resulting in new sources of funding for the organization and increased giving from existing funders. James’ professional experience includes positions development positions with the Boys Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes and most currently Ubi Caritas medical health care clinic. He is looking forward to returning to the southeast and joining the team at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Greensboro as he begins his new position on March 1, 2015.

“Working with CapDev in our search for a CDO for Habitat Greensboro was a delightful experience,” said CEO, Maria Hanlin. “They were extremely professional, efficient and thorough in every aspect of their work. We are thrilled with our new staff member and are most grateful for CapDev’s exhaustive search to bring forth several well-qualified candidates. I highly recommend CapDev to any non-profit and would not hesitate to utilize them in the future.”
