Lynchburg Client Dedicates New Building

Westminster-Canterbury Lynchburg says they’ve out-aged their current space and its time for something new. They dedicated the Drinkard Healthcare Center on June 27th.

It took almost two years to finish the $49 million project, including a capital campaign that helped raised nearly $2.5 million in funds (including planned gifts) toward the cost and worked to engage new and existing new donors with increased enthusiasm. A new donor wall was also installed for the occasion.

85 residents will be moving into the new six-story building on July 16th. Residents will have their own private rooms, an open lounge area, a health clinic and more.

“Our buildings we were working out of are 38 years old. They’ve been useful but I think their time is coming to be replaced and we’ll figure out something, how to re-purpose those buildings,” Sean Huyett, president and CEO of Westminster Canterbury, said.
