Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina

The Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina was excited to announce its hire of Pam Hardin as its new Director of Development in an August 2021 email blast.

“Foothills Conservancy’s staff and board are so delighted to have Pam join our land trust,” said Executive Director Andrew Kota. “Her skills, professionalism and success in charitable giving programs, coupled with her passion for our conservation mission and friendly demeanor, are the right blend of qualities to strengthen the conservancy’s fundraising at a time when our programmatic work is growing.”

Pam is responsible for leading the conservancy’s strategic development and advancement of fundraising initiatives and goals, and has deep mountain roots, which led to her love of the outdoors and the region. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University, a master’s degree from Western Carolina University and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University — and she brings decades of fundraising experience to the Foothills Conservancy team. When she’s not busy at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, traveling and reading.

“I am honored to have this exciting opportunity to be a part of this wonderful team, conserving land for the benefit of all,” Hardin said.

We think they found the perfect fit!
